The Waterbury Hispanic Firefighters Society was founded in 1995. The idea was spearheaded by two brothers Alex and Davis Calderon. They are both members of the Waterbury Fire
Department & life long residents in the city of Waterbury.

" The purposes and goals of the society are to promote and develop a friendly and fraternal relationship among society members, Fire Department personnel and city of Waterbury residents.We volunteer services, organize and participate in charitable functions which benefit the community we serve."
